TANGIT PVC-U is a special solvent-based adhesive for rigid PVC-U in pressure and non-pressure systems. Tangit PVC-U performs chemical bonding of the supports to which it is applied. Tangit is a quick-setting adhesive specifically for longitudinal joints made of rigid PVC pipes. It is particularly suitable for assembling pipes and fittings even under pressure (contact with drinking water tested and certified by TZW, NSF and KIWA NV), gutters, drain pipes and ducts for rigid PVC cables. It also connects ABS and other plastics (except PE, PP and PTFE) although with lower strengths. Tangit welds are water resistant. Chemical resistance, especially to inorganic acids, depends on the resistance of the pipes, the waiting times, the compliance with the tolerance, the pressure load, the operating temperatures, the type of acid and its concentration. The durability of Tangit welds is equivalent to that of PVC-U pipes.
